Welcome to McGrawPTO

The McGraw P.T.O. was organized to provide a network among parents, teachers and our community for the purpose of enriching the learning experience, supporting our teachers and improving our school.

The first part of our mission is to enrich our children’s learning experiences. We are a major contributor to many programs at McGraw Elementary School. This fundraising and volunteering has helped bring enriching activities and materials to the students.

The second part of our mission is to support our teachers. We assign volunteers to be a “Resource” to teachers and to assist with projects, photocopying, etc. In addition, we also organize volunteers for cafeteria duty as well as recess duty. This includes helping the children through lunch and getting them out on the playground in a timely fashion. This is usually a 30-45 min. time commitment. Recess Duty involves watching children on the playground to insure student safety with a very similar time commitment. We value strong communication with the Educators at McGraw Elementary School and try to meet their needs so that they may provide the best learning experience possible for our children.

How we do it: Throughout the year, you will see different fundraising events detailed in letters coming home in your child’s folder. These events enable us to help support these kinds of wonderful, enriching events that otherwise would not be available to our children.

One of our biggest fundraisers is the on-going B.A.S.E. Program (Buy Ahead, Support Education). In addition, we also have a Fall and Spring Scholastic book fair and sales fundraisers such as flower bulbs, spirit wear, etc.


We collect Box Tops (Box Tops for Education) and they can be sent in at any time. To print off collection sheets go to the website in the above link or click on the Box Tops link under ‘Useful Things’. We also accept the Box Tops in envelopes or baggies.


The PTO also participates in Labels for Education. You can help by continuing to save Campbell’s Soup, Goldfish Crackers, V8 Juice, and Prego Tomato Sauce labels and return them to the box outside of the main office.

The McGraw PTO graciously accepts any cash or check donation. If you would like to donate, please write your check out to McGraw School PTO and drop off your donation to the office at McGraw School. We appreciate any amount given and are thankful for all efforts in enriching the education of our children.
